Hello, my name is Dafiny Alves I am an integrative counsellor, certified anxiety and trauma practitioner, I am also a member of the BACP and I conform to the BACP code of ethics. I have been working for years with young people, pre-teens (from 11 years old) and adults.
I currently work in various counselling agencies around London and have my private practice.
I speak Portuguese and Italian and I can counsel in those languages.
I work with children from 11 years old, adolescents, young people and adults.
My focus is to help individuals heal, energize, and become aware of their inner strengths; I provide a safe non-judgemental space, virtual or face to face, where clients are made to feel valued, understood, listened to and free to express and explore any concern.
How do I do that?
As an Integrative counsellor in a nutshell my approach allows me to use different tools to better help you to explore your past and or present, relationships with self and others and if needed help you to connect some dots and find some clarity in why you may do things in a certain way, allow you to change if that is what you desire. Also part of the therapeutic relationship we can use a range of techniques such as: games, role play, drawing, crafts, mindfulness, blobs pictures, solution focus exercises ( CBT), etc as long as you want to use them, as the base of my work is client -centred.
